Teeth grinding?

I have an 8 month old daughter and she has 4 teeth, the top two and the bottom two. She grinds her teeth. Is this normal? Why does she do this? How can stop her?

Teeth grinding?
YES IT IS NORMAL, YOU CANT STOP IT BUT YOU CAN GIVE HER SOMETHING TO CHEW ON. SHE IS PROBALY TEETHING, MY DAUGHTER DID THAT ALSO NOW SHE IS 15 MONTHS AND STILL DOES IT SOMETIMES
Reply:Does she do it while sleeping or awake, or both? Chances are that she is just in pain from new teeth coming in and grinding gives her some relief. You might try a teething ring.
Reply:My son was three and he had this problem. My dentist told me that he may have intentinal parasites. I was suppose to get a mouth guard but i never did nor did i do anything about the teeth grinding because the teeth fell out and some how he got over it.
Reply:Yes it is normal, and it will drive you nutz!

If it presists past the infant stages, then you may want to look into it further.
Reply:yes my son did it on and off it drives you mad, i used to give him a clean dry face cloth sometimes id freeze it slightly seemed to work and it stopped the noise....
