Teeth Grinding?

Is it ok to wear a regular mouthpiece,like the kind you boil then bite to fit your teeth,at night to keep from grinding?

If you can stand it in your mouth, so far I can%26#039;t, and my dentist said the one she would make cost 250 bucks, I am hoping some changes in diet and a better job of cleanup will take care of my problems, sinsodyne toothpaste helps tremendously with the sensitive teeth, I use it everyday. Sometimes twice a day while I have been working with my medical doc to try and stop the grinding, its a battle both ways but we can win it, we just have to hang in there until we get the answer.
