Teeth Grinding?

How do I get my 16 month old daughter to stop grinding her teeth? She has all of her baby teeth except for the last set of pre molars.. It drives my husband and I nuts because it sounds like her teeth are breaking she%26#039;s doing it soo hard...is there something that I could put on here teeth to stop her from doing it? No rude comments or you will be reported!

Teeth Grinding?
ooh boy i have been there with a few youngsters and as hard as it is to listen to you can only try to ignore it cause you can%26#039;t get them to stop by barking at them believe me yes all in due time it will go away just try hard not to say anything
Reply:my son did that for a while but he stopped i think they are just grinding them because they like the sound and it may feel good to them,my son did it when he was teething Report It

Reply:I would see a children%26#039;s dentist. They might be able to give her a mouth guard, but at that age I%26#039;m not sure if that%26#039;s an option. Good luck!
Reply:It%26#039;s just a habit. You can remind her not to do it. She will outgrow it.
Reply:My 10 month old just started that, and she has a whopping 5 teeth! :) What I do is tap her on the check and say %26quot;no%26quot;. She understands no very well and it seems to work. But I think for the most part it is just a phase they will outgrow.
Reply:There are several explanations for her teeth grinding behavior. Some children who are irritable can be bruxers. Children suffering from anal pruritis or pinworms brux their teeth as a counteraction to the intense itching. A problem with the way the upper and lower jaws bite together could also be causing your baby to grind in an attempt to find a comfortable position for his teeth.

Good luck!
Reply:My daughter did that. It was like fingernails on a chalkboard for me. I told the doc and there was no damage. there is a mouthgaurd you can get but she may be a bit young. My daugter did that for a few years. She is eight now and no longer does it. I never used the guard. Just let her grow out of it. Get a dentists opinion.
Reply:go to the dentist! She wont grow out of it! I%26#039;ve been grinding my teeth since I was 1! If you dont do something now then her teeth are going to be so small and down to the nerves when she gets older! Do something now! I am 16 and I have a night gaurd to help me not make my teeth smaller! it really helps! LOL!
